Fernwood Parish Council is looking to appoint a resourceful and experienced individual to be our new Administration Assistant.
As our Administration Assistant, you will be assisting the Parish Clerk in delivering Parish Council services, communications and financial and general administration.
The Council is committed to delivering high quality local services. Currently the Council manages a village hall and grounds within the Parish but this work is due to increase with the Parish Council acquiring more land and plans to develop the village hall. The Council also support community events which will be included in this role.
You will need to be enthusiastic, flexible, and community-focused with good administrative, interpersonal, numeracy and IT skills. Excellent verbal and written skills are essential to work successfully with our community and contractors. This post involves occasional evening and weekend work
We invite applications from proactive, experienced people with proven and demonstrable administration and organisational skills to help the Parish Council deliver excellent service.
The position is for 15 hours per week and is based on NJC pay scales for SCP 3 to 6 (£18,887 to £20,043 pro rata), including 22 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata) and contributory membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
